WE ARE HARD PRESSED ON EVERY SIDE BUT NOT CRUSHED

Anytime l write to you, l am fully convinced that most of you are going through your trial and testing times. Some of you are even thinking of going back to your old habits which would make things more difficult for you. Listen, l want to assure you once again that you are not alone. Are you facing a moment of decision in your life but don’t know which way to go? Are you in a painful situation which you think will bring doom to your life?

Are you in a very difficult financial crisis which looks like the heavens is getting loosed upon you? Have you come to cross road and think that that is the end of your journey? All l want to tell you is, 1. Pray. 2. And wait until you receive your answer from God. It does not matter how long it takes, but for one thing l am sure of is, your prayers will surely be answered at God’s own time. (Jonah 2:1) “From inside the fish, Jonah prayed to the Lord his God” (Jonah 2:10) “And the Lord commanded the whale and it vomited Jonah onto the dry land”

In this miracle, the following took place: 1. Jonah found himself still alive inside the whale and called out to the Lord. 2. For three days, God shut all the immune system of that whale so the crushing and digestion did not take place. That is where Paul said in (2 Cor. 4:8) “We are hard pressed every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down but not destroyed” My dear fellow believer, never give up hope in the seemingly impossible situations. Like Jonah, you can turn the miraculous hand of God in your own situation by praying and waiting. There are five truths l want you to know about trials.
1. Trials are not punishments but stepping stone into your heights. “No cross no crown” “No trials, no testimonies” (1 Peter 4:13) “Dear friend, do not be surprised at the  painful trial you are suffering as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed
2. God loves you and allow trials in your life to help you grow spiritually. (Isa. 54:10) “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has companion on you” Secondly to help grow spiritually, you need the following ingredients in (Jas. 1:2-3) “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be matured and complete, not lacking any thing”
3. I want you to know that His grace is sufficient to get you through every situation if you don’t give up. (2 Cor. 9:14) “And in their prayers for you, their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.”
4. When trials become too hard. God provides a way of escape for you (1 Cor. 10:13) “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it”
5. There are benefits such as patience, endurance, and empathy that comes from trials. So you see, just try to rely on God and that will make you acknowledge the hard times you face. This will produce hope joy and meaning to your journey of trials.
May the goodness and the countenance of God rest upon you and your family and may He see you through this time of your trials. Stay blessed!!!!
